๐๐ก๐๐ญ๐๐๐โ๐ฌ ๐๐ ๐๐ง๐ญ ๐ฆ๐จ๐๐ is finally here in Singapore!
(At least, I just got it on my account last week.) Hereโs my review after using it sparingly ๐๐จ๐ฆ๐ฉ๐๐ซ๐๐ ๐ญ๐จ ๐๐ฅ๐๐ฎ๐๐.
For starters, note that ChatGPT operates in a virtual window, whereas Claude takes control of your actual PC.
That means with ChatGPT, itโs like working on a brand-new machine without your usual logins. You can take over anytime, so for simple chores like โcheck all my various ads and update my GSheet,โ where you only need to log in to two places, itโs probably not too bad.
Claude, on the other hand, takes full control of your PC โ which means you canโt use it for other work while itโs running.
Now for the comparison: both are still very much like uncertain interns. When you review their thought process, youโll see they can be indecisive about where to click. Until we get AGI, theyโre probably more suited for tedious, repetitive tasks.
Both can fumble at times, so I wouldnโt say one is a clear winner over the other. That said, I find ChatGPT a little more confident and faster half of the time. But from a UX/UI perspective, I prefer the fact that Claude can control my PC โ if I need to update an Excel file, it can just do it.
However, the issue is that you canโt use your PC while itโs running, and it probably takes five times longer than doing it yourself, as it has to figure out what is on your screen. Thatโs probably why ChatGPT is faster.
That said, once ChatGPT gets stuck, it stays stuck. With both, you can interject without pausing the task โ and there goes your limited monthly credit. But because Claude can see your screen, when I interject and type something like โNo! Thatโs the wrong website to download the file!โ it can actually tell, even though I canโt press enter to send it in.
My overall winner still goes to Claude because of what it can do. Especially if you are running tasks while not using your computer.
I would also suggest writing some custom instructions to control it, in case it goes wild. E.g never delete a file, pause at payment confirmation page.
